POSITION SUMMARY

The central contact point for receiving and processing customer requests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze and complete service orders on all incoming inquiries and requests for electric and telecommunications accounts including new services, name changes, package changes, service disconnections/reconnections and other actions on behalf of customers.
• Responsible for processing customer payments and cash drawer balancing.
• Promote and sell broadband and telephone services to customers.
• Manage customer records in an electronic record retention system.
• Manage all billing functions including collections for electric and telecommunications services.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma with 3 years customer service experience required preferably in electric utility industry.
• AA in Business Administration or related field is preferred
• Must be able to multitask, work independently with strong attention to detail.
• Must possess good written and oral communication skills.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Colorado Driver’s License. 
• Must possess basic computer and 10-key skills with experience in Microsoft Office programs.
• Must adhere to the Cooperative’s safety manual, policies, procedures, service rules and regulations.
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills, excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate clearly with customers and coworkers.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Duties are primarily performed inside.
• Travel outside the system may be required.
• Irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.
• Must be able to perform duties as stated above.
• Activities performed include lifting, driving, sitting, kneeling, standing, and walking.
