Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Central point of contact for scheduling fiber, telephone and wireless installs. Maintain proper record keeping and data for telecommunications department. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with incoming inquiries for new service or maintenance of existing service.
  • Initiate service orders/trouble tickets and update status of installations in workflow tracking system.  
  • Coordinates material availability for service installs and works with contractors to plan and prioritize installations.
  • Prepare and present bids for commercial accounts with multiple services.
  • Initiate porting orders for new telephone service.
  • Remote troubleshooting of telephone and internet issues.
  • General coordination of day to day activities for the telecommunications technicians.
  • Schedules appointments for telecommunications installations. 
  • Provide information needed for engineering design.
  • Communicate project status updates and coordinate schedule changes to customers and contractors.
  • Demonstrates ability to maintain multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Completes moderately complex filing activities such as scanning and electronic filing.
  • Consults with customers and personnel in other departments as needed to discuss design plans and calculate estimates for cost of drop construction. 
  • Coordinate response to after-hours outages and other trouble calls on a rotational basis.
  • Ability to self-prioritize work with minimal supervision.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma is required.
  • Associates Degree in Business or related field is preferred.
  • Two years’ experience in a related field.
  • Must possess a high degree of organization skill.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Colorado Driver’s license. 
  • Must possess basic computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Must adhere to the Cooperative safety rules, policies, procedures, rules and regulations. 
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to commutate clearly with customers and coworkers.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Duties are performed inside and outside in difficult terrain.
  • Irregular hours include nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.
  • Must be able to perform duties as stated above.
  • Activities are performed sitting, standing, and walking.
