Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for monitoring current inventory levels, pulling materials for electric and fiber construction jobs, and maintaining an organized warehouse and equipment yard. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reads work orders to determine what materials are necessary for construction projects, pulls material and posts into the accounting system.
  • Handles the rubber goods disbursements.
  • Loads and unloads materials for proper storage.
  • Transfers materials to and from storage to designated area in a safe manner.
  • Accounts for incoming and outgoing materials in the warehouse.
  • Properly identifies and tags materials.
  • Delivers materials to job sites as needed.
  • Performs cycle counting for inventory management.
  • Performs building maintenance and snow removal as needed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One to two years experience with inventory control and materials handling.
  • Must be certified on forklift operations.
  • Ability to operate computers and communication equipment.
  • Must adhere to the Cooperative’s safety manual, policies, procedures, service rules and regulations.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly with consumers and coworkers.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Activities are performed inside and outside in all types of weather.
  • Some irregular work hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Must be able to perform activities listed in the position description.
  • Activities performed are driving, sitting and walking.
