POSITION SUMMARY

The central contact point for receiving and processing customer requests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Customer Service and Account Management: Handle all initial customer inquiries and requests, process all types of service orders to manage customer requests for electric and telecommunications accounts. 
2. Payment Processing: Accept and process all forms of customer payments and maintain an accurate cash drawer. 
3. Sales and Service Promotion: Promote and sell broadband and telephone services. 
4. Records and Data Management: Maintain accurate customer records in an electronic record retention system.
5. Billing and Collections: Manage all aspects of billing functions and handle collections for electric and telecommunications services.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

1. High school diploma with 3 years customer service experience required preferably in electric utility industry.
2. AA in Business Administration or related field is preferred
3. Must possess strong interpersonal skills, excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate clearly with customers and coworkers.
4. Must be able to multitask, work independently with strong attention to detail while managing time efficiently.
5. Must possess strong written and oral communication skills.
6. Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Colorado Driver’s License. 
7. Must possess basic computer and 10-key skills with experience in Microsoft Office programs.
8. Must adhere to the Cooperative’s safety manual, policies, procedures, service rules and regulations.

WORKING CONDITIONS

1. Duties are primarily performed inside.
2. Travel outside the system may be required.
3. Irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.
4. Must be able to perform duties as stated above.
5. Activities performed include lifting, driving, sitting, kneeling, standing, and walking.
